A Twitter fan account for the singer tweeted the news in the early hours of Thursday (15.06.17) morning, and claimed the star was "hugging everyone" and doing her best to "comfort them".

Tragically, 12 people have been confirmed dead as a result, with the death toll expected to rise, and an estimated 2,000 have been left without a home. Instagram / Rita Ora Rita Ora posted this photo on Instagram on her way to help the Grenfell Tower victims. "My heart goes out to everyone affected by this horrific tragedy in west London (sic)".

The singer sifted through black bags full of clothes for the victims.

Ora wrote: "This is my neighbourhood I can't believe this is happening".

The former X Factor judge continued to post videos on Instagram Story throughout the day, including one of her on her way to a help point.

Pop star Rita Ora has helped sort through donations for those caught up in the Grenfell Tower blaze, while Adele is also said to have visited the scene.

Adele is reported to have visited the scene of the fire on Wednesday night.

'My prayers are with everybody involved my heart is beating so fast. I'm literally on the other side of the world and I want them to see our lights and to hear us.

AdeleUnion wrote: "Adele was going around and hugging everyone she could to comfort them".

'It's very odd not being home, all I want to do today is be at home with my friends and family.
