OL faced Nice in their final Ligue 1 game of the season, and just after half-time with the score at 1-1, Lacazette put the home side in front with a truly special goal.

Alexandre Lacazette has confirmed that he will be leaving Olympique Lyonnais at the end of the current season and - much to Arsenal's disappointment - Atletico Madrid looks to be his most likely destination.

The 25-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at the Ligue 1 club, has impressively netted 89 goals in the last three campaigns and feels it is now time to leave his comfort zone and prove himself elsewhere.

A graduate of Lyon's academy, Lacazette has in total made 275 appearances for his boyhood club, managing 129 goals and creating a further 43 goals.

"It's totally me [who will decide where he signs]", the French forward added.

"I think it's the right time [to leave]", he told the French publication.

"Antoine has been trying to get me to move there for a while".

However, it remains to be seen whether Champions League semifinalist Atletico can actually sign Lacazette this summer. It is a great team with a new stadium, and it is also a club that makes the players progress. "And there is [France team-mate] Antoine Griezmann".

There are still complications whether the 25-year-old will be able to move to Diego Simeone's side as they are waiting on a decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport to lift their transfer ban, after breaking Federation Internationale de Football Association rules on signing youth players.

"The president told me what he told you at a press conference", Lacazette continued.
